Mapping of historical technical buildings in the border region

This bachelor's thesis discusses historical technical buildings in a boarding region. The beginning is focused on types of technical buildings, woodworks history and woodworking industry. Furthermore, there are described two main personalities who played an important role in this area. The main part of the thesis is focused on sawmills, shipping channels and power stations. Biggest and most significant sawmills, shipping channels and power stations in the border region are discussed in the following chapters, as well as places, where these objects were located. The goal of the thesis is to describe these historical objects in regional context and point them in maps.

This bachelor thesis is concerned with historical technical buildings in boarding region. Opening chapters are focused on types of technical buildings and history of glass and glasworks. Further on, there are described two main generations of glassworks owners. The main part of the thesis is focused on glassworks and mills themselfs. There are chapters of the biggest or most signifiant glassworks and mills in the boarder region. These glassworks and the mills are pointed in maps according to different categories.
